Horse Back Rides

Beginners walk, trot and occaisionally canter with guidance from our experienced and friendly wranglers. Children must be 7 yrs. or older and we ask for a 200 lb. weight limit on our horses.

*Special note; Horseback riding requires a certain amount of physical conditioning, please keep this in consideration when signing up for this activitree. Group rides are limited to 6 riders, 4 minimum at a time. Last minute ride cancellations are subject to a $5 saddling fee if not used.


Peggy and Mike on Mt. Elijah

Equestrian ground school: Learn to handle a horse efficiently and safely from the ground.$30.00/hour/person

Trailriding: Learn trail riding technique and navigation on our miles of local trails. $35.00 an hour per person, two person minimum.

Pony rides: When the horses are going out for a ride and you have a child that is to small to ride by their self, they can be lead around the grounds quite safely. $10 per 15 minutes of guided walk, $5 if parents lead the horse.

Dressage: Advanced technique available to experienced riders only. $35.00 class/person

Horse care: Learn how to be your horse's best friend... Somebody's gotta be.$25.00/class 1 to 4 persons at a time.

EXAMPLE
We offer ECO Tours on horseback of old growth Douglas Fir and Ponerosa Pines. This tour is rigorous and you must be in good physical condition to ride the exciting and beautiful trail to the top of our local Hope Mountain. The trip requires approimately 2 hrs. at $75 per person. 2 person minimum, 6 max., prepare for rough terrain!
